Skiing in Bend… or not
Saturday, January 6th, 2007In addition to running the cycling team, I also work for MBSEF teaching cycling and nordic skiing to juniors. I’m also the Chief of Course for all of our local nordic races up at Mt. Bachelor. We were supposed to have a race today but they closed the highway to the mountain at 6am just as I was heading up to meet the groomer. Apparently, there were 40 mph winds blowing 12-30 inches of snow all over the place. The road finally opened at 9:45.
