“I got the solo win by attacking 10 miles out and bridging to a group
of 2, and then dropping them on a descent. People were pretty lazy in
getting chases organized, probably due to the pouring rain and cold,
so I had the feeling that if someone could get out of sight they would
do well. I had good legs at the end because I didn’t ski instruct the
day before, and being an unknown rider in WA I’m sure also helped.
It’s a great course, with two fairly hard hills — I would definitely
recommend it for next year.”
