Therapeutic Associates Cycling Team was created in 2003 by Bill Warburton and Spencer Newell. TAI Cycling has grown to over 40 men and women who race across the Northwest. The team has officers in Bend, Portland and Corvallis. TAI Cycling focuses mainly on road cycling but we have excellent mountain and cyclocross riders as well.

History

TAI Cycling was started by Bill Warburton and Spencer Newell in Bend, OR, as a local shop team in 2003. We have since grown into a regional team with riders in Bend and Portland. Our goal for the team is to attract good people who also happen to be good cyclists. We want to promote cycling as an integral part of life for people in our communities throughout Oregon. Many of our riders are coaches for various junior programs including cycling, skiing and snowboarding, because we understand the future of our sport lies in education and giving crucial positive experiences to youth. We have mandatory volunteer hours for our riders which are spent helping with community events, bike races and other charity benefits.
